Ik heb zo met je te doen. Een kind moeten afgeven; dat hoort niet. Dat is tegen de wet van de natuur. Maar voor Willem geloof ik dat het beter is. De moed was op, de strijd gestreden, de kaarten verdeeld.
Ik heb bewondering voor je moed, je strijdlust.
En tranen rolden ook over mijn wangen, vanochtend. Ook al heb ik hem niet zo goed gekend. Al was het volgens mij een gevoelige, oprechte man. Een mooie man ook De woorden waren juist, de sfeer sereen, de mensen oprecht.
Ik wens je zoveel moed toe, zoveel sterkte en een stralende zon na deze donderwolken.
